We are well into our first week of homework...so what do you think? How has it been going? I pray that you have been able to make time to spend time in the word and in study each day. I know that already, a sentence or two in my book has some much needed highlighting.
We will be discussing days 1-3 as well as any further thoughts you had on the intro video. We also will begin and end our time with our new favorite chant (he-he) so practice up between now and Friday...in case you forgot, here it is:
-God is who He says He is
-God can do what He says he can do.
-I am who God says I am
-I can do all things through Christ
-God’s word is alive and active in me.
Looking forward to seeing all of you on Friday!

Child Care Notes
> Drop off begins at 9:15 at Shelly’s house.
> Please remember to bring a diaper bag and
sippy cup for your child, make sure they are labeled .
> As we head into cold and flu season please use your best
judgment in bringing your child. Please keep your child
home if there has been a fever in the last 24-36 hours and or
if there is excessive “green” snot. While we all understand
the “need to get out” we need to do our best to protect and
respect other families.

Yeah for Materials & An Online Option
I just picked up all of our Biblestudy materials and just flipping through them I am excited to get this thing going. Our study is going to cover 5 faith pledges. Consider these as you begin to get your heart prepared for our study together.
- God is who He says He is.
- God can do what He says He can do.
- I am who God says I am
- I can do all things through Christ
- God's word is alive and active in me.
On any given day I am sure that in my head I "know" these things...but I am not sure my heart can yet claim them all, every day. That is my prayer for myself...and for you. That together we can move to a place of no longer nodding our head at the above statements...but instead our hearts beat joyfully because we know it to be truth.
I have high hopes for this study and am bummed that some of our lady friends will not be able to join us due to any number of reasons. So here is an option for ladies if Friday morning just won't work. An online version of the study is availble check out the following link and see if it might be a fit for you.

Okay Ladies, Here we go.
Our Study
Ladies I cannot tell you how excited I am to start on yet another journey with you as we study this year Believing God : A Faith Explosion by Beth Moore.
This is a workbook, discussion, video series. It will involve “daily” homework that pertains to our video and discussion. I pray that even now you will begin to prepare your heart and your schedule to put much effort and time into this study. At our first meeting we will watch the opening video and (if ups work correctly) distribute books. The cost for each work book is $15.00. payable to Megan Lyons during the first three weeks please. As always, we will do our very best to start promptly at 9:30 with a quick grab of coffee and refreshments, then right to the Word. If you have any questions before our first meeting, don’t hesitate to contact Megan Lyons, meg@jonandmeg.com. Looking forward to an awesome year Ladies. See you Friday.
Child Care
Once again we are excited to offer child care for this study. This is a paid option for your children. Drop off will begin at 9:20 each Friday morning at Shelly Connor’s house*. Then we walk two houses down to Becca Worl’s house for the study. Please provide a Sippy Cup and Diaper Bag for your child. Also, our first week of study we will have a sign up sheet for snacks.
The cost for child care is
$ 5.00 | one child or $ 7.00 | two children.
You do not need to feel obligated to use this child care option. If you have another option (grandparents, neighbor, child swap friend) don’t hesitate to use those. PLEASE RSVP to this email with the number of children you will be bringing to child care on a regular basis.

Believing God | Ladies Study
Based on Isaiah 43:10, Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith by Beth Moore explores what it means to not only believe in God but to believe Him.
Do you take God at His Word, believing what He has told you, or do you just believe in His existence and the salvation He offers? Beth Moore came face-to-face with this question well into adulthood. At first, her response to God was, "Lord, of course I believe in You. I've believed in You all my life." Over time, the Holy Spirit led her to understand He was saying, "I didn't ask you to believe in Me. I asked you to believe Me."
Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others from Hebrews 11 as examples of persons who believed God, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him.
